) and Neil Druckmann (co-chairman of Naughty Dog) has been the second-biggest HBO Max debut behind only

House of the Dragon

, after a full week available on the platform.

Episode 1 now has nearly

domestic viewers in the United States, more than 4.5 times its opening night audience.

Episode 2 recorded 5.7 million viewers on HBO Max in the US on Sunday night, according to Nielsen, adding more than a million new viewers to the series premiere.

This 22% jump

marks the largest second-week viewership growth for any HBO original drama series

in the network's history.
