French President Emmanuel Macron was caught claiming to be a photographer for the K-pop group BLACKPINK.

On the 25th (local time), BLACKPINK attended a charity concert held at the Zenith Theater in Villette Park in the 19th district of Paris, France.

The concert was hosted by a charity organization chaired by Brigitte Macron, the wife of President Macron, and Blackpink performed the 'shutdown' stage.

The Macron couple were witnessed by the audience as they lightly danced to Blackpink's song.

Not only that.

After the performance, President Macron was known to have taken a commemorative photo with Pharrell, who appeared at the concert with Blackpink.

Alexandre Arnault, vice chairman of jewelry brand Tiffany & Co., took a picture of Black Pink members Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo happily taking commemorative photos with Pharrell and posted them on his SNS. Controversy arose when it became known that the person was President Macron.

French netizens poured out negative reactions, saying, “Is it right for President Macron to spend time leisurely as a photographer for K-pop stars’ commemorative photo shoots amid rising citizens’ dissatisfaction with the pension reform issue?”

Blackpink has been conducting a world tour since October last year.
