Four suspects of Pakistani nationality have been arrested for possessing counterfeit airbags from a major automaker.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that about 1,000 counterfeit products were sold under the false pretense of genuine products.

Four people, all of Pakistani nationality, were arrested, including suspect Islar Mian Ali (36), an employee of a used car sales company.



According to investigative sources, the two employees are suspected of violating the trademark law by possessing counterfeit airbags from a major automobile manufacturer for the purpose of selling them at a warehouse in Midori City, Gunma Prefecture on the 26th. .



The other two are also suspected of selling counterfeit airbags.



It is believed that the counterfeit product was sold on an Internet auction site under the guise of being a genuine product from a major automaker, and there was a risk that it would not inflate normally or that fragments would fly out.



The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that four people have manufactured counterfeit goods and have sold about 1000 so far.
