Capturing radio waves coming from 9 billion light years from Earth

An international team of astronomers has detected, for the first time, a radio signal emanating from a galaxy about 9 billion light-years from Earth, according to a recent study, according to the Daily Mail.

Scientists from Canada and India were able to capture a signal from the galaxy SDSSJ0826+5630 with the help of a giant telescope in India.

Arnab Chakraborty, co-scientist of the study, explained that the signal was not sent by aliens, but rather came from a galaxy.

This is the first detection of a radio signal from such a huge distance.
