While singer Sam Kim (24) lost his father due to a gun robbery shooting in the United States, his father's support for his son during his lifetime is attracting attention.

According to American media outlets, Sam Kim's father, Mr. Kim, who ran a restaurant in Seattle, was shot and killed by a robber on the 13th.

It is said that Sam Kim attended his father's funeral and sang 'Mama Don't worry', which he sang for his mother, as a tribute song to his father.

In this song, "It doesn't matter if you're far away, Sam/ It doesn't matter if you don't see me often/ We're happy/ Even if we're apart, we're in your heart/ Don't worry about us and live happily/ Never cry/ A night in Seoul/ A night across the sea/ Even if you're far away, we're happy/ I miss you" A night where everyone is curious / No matter where we are, we're happy."

Born in the United States, Sam Kim came to Korea in 2014 to appear on SBS' 'K-Pop Star Season 3' and drew attention for his extraordinary musicality.

At the time of the contest, Sam Kim impressed many people by overcoming loneliness in Korea and living alone, but he did not give up his will to pursue his dream of becoming a singer.

At the time, Sam Kim's parents in Seattle, USA, were proud of their son, saying, "The reaction here is really great. When you tremble there, the mother trembles too. When I first went out, I was just a baby, but I really grew up."

Sam Kim also said, "I'm really proud of my family. It's probably the biggest thing that's happened to my family. I'm nervous and scared. There are so many winners, so I'm thinking of going home." He did not hide his love for them.
