A dog kills a man in the United States

A dog shot dead an American hunter who was sitting in the front seat of a "pick-up" vehicle, after stepping on a gun in the back seats, in the middle of the United States in the past few days, according to police.

The animal was present, Saturday, in the back of the vehicle, where there were hunting equipment and a rifle, when it stepped on the weapon, which led to its operation, according to the Samer County Sheriff's Office in rural Kansas.

The authorities indicated that the victim, a 30-year-old man, was sitting next to the driver's seat when he was shot.

He died instantly of his injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing, but according to preliminary information, what happened is related to a "hunting accident," according to what the police chief's office confirmed.

The authorities did not reveal whether the victim was the owner of the dog.

Weapons are widespread in the United States, especially in rural states, so that the number of weapons in circulation in the country exceeds the population.

The country witnesses many tragic accidents, which sometimes result from children shooting while playing with weapons.
