Justin Roiland is accused of domestic violence and unlawful detention.

The suspected crimes must have taken place in January 2020. The case was tried in court earlier in January and will be taken up again in April.

Roiland denies the allegations.

The TV company Adult swim has now decided to fire Justin Roiland from "Rick and Morty", where he worked as a scriptwriter, executive producer and voice actor for both main roles.

However, the series will continue with other actors, writes Variety.

Accused of more assaults

Justin Roiland may also leave the game developer Squanch games, which he co-founded in 2016.

Since the legal preliminary examination earlier this year, there have been similar accusations against Roiland in social media from several women, writes Time.

"Rick and Morty" premiered in 2013 and has become one of America's most popular animated series for adults.
