Britain's Princess Eugenie is pregnant.
"Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child this summer," Buckingham Palace said on Tuesday.
"The family is delighted and August is very excited to be a big brother." Eugenie gave birth to her first child in 2021 at the age of 30.
On Instagram, Prince Andrew's daughter, now 32, expressed her joy in a very personal way: she shared a photo of her son August hugging her and pressing his face to her stomach.
Both are standing in a meadow, laughing in the sunlight.
"We are so excited to announce that our family will be expanding this summer," the statement said.
The picture was taken according to Eugenie's husband Jack Brooksbank.
According to the PA news agency, the child will be 13th in line to the British throne and will be the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II to be born since her death last September.
