The Firdaus Orchestra - which was established at "Expo 2020 Dubai" - accompanied the star Beyoncé with a distinguished performance that lasted for 90 minutes, during the opening ceremony of the "Atlantis The Royal" hotel in Dubai last Saturday.

The orchestra, accompanied by the global icon - who won the largest number of awards in the history of the Grammy Award - presented a culturally diverse show that included elements of Arabic music with the oud, bouzouki, riq and darbuka instruments.

The tunes of the Firdaus Orchestra, which is considered a legacy of the International Exhibition, continue in Dubai Expo City, and the band includes members of 24 nationalities, as it celebrates women's artistic talents and encourages young generations to achieve their dreams in the world of music.

"We are still a new orchestra, and our work with global icon Beyonce exceeded our expectations," said conductor Monica Woodman.

While the leader of the strings section, Olina Bonpon, said: “It is wonderful to be part of an event of this magnitude, and I am grateful to the Dubai Expo City, not only for giving us a global platform, but for trusting and involving us in distinguished opportunities.”

It is noteworthy that the Firdaus Orchestra played with a group of international artists during Expo 2020 Dubai, including Andrea Bocelli and Christina Aguilera, and this is the first time that it gives a concert outside the World Expo and Dubai Expo City.
