[Explanation] On the evening of January 22nd, the traditional festival of the Chinese nation - the Spring Festival, the 2023 cross-strait Spring Festival fireworks display was held simultaneously at Huangcuo Beach in Xiamen and Xiaojinmen Beach in Kinmen. The fireworks were over the waters of Xiamen and Kinmen Blooming, through the shallow strait, conveying New Year blessings to each other.

　　[Explanation] The theme of this Cross-Strait Spring Festival Fireworks Show is "Jade Rabbit Presents Auspicious Auspiciousness and the Cross-Strait Shares This Time". More than 72,000 rounds of various fireworks were set off, which lasted for 30 minutes.

At the fireworks show in Xiamen, many Taiwan compatriots gathered together to enjoy the fireworks feast and share the joy of the New Year.

　　This is the first time for me to participate in this fireworks show. I think this fireworks show is very meaningful, especially it is scheduled to be held on the first day of the Lunar New Year. As a Chinese nation, Chinese New Year is a national tradition of ours, which is very good festival.

　　[Explanation] Han Yinghuan, the newly appointed president of the Xiamen Association of Taiwanese Investment Enterprises, participated in the cross-strait Spring Festival fireworks display for the first time in Xiamen this year.

He said that Xiamen and Kinmen set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year, and everyone got closer and closer as they walked together.

　　Today (22nd), we set off fireworks between the two sides of the strait, Kinmen and Xiamen, door to door, and it has been more than 20 years since we set off fireworks. In the past 20 years, we have also witnessed the exchanges between our two sides of the strait, which is very hot network.

　　[Explanation] It is reported that on January 29, 1987, Xiamen and Kinmen set off fireworks together for the first time to celebrate the New Year, conveying the best wishes of compatriots on both sides of the strait to each other during the Spring Festival.

This practice has continued to this day.
