Chinanews.com, Nanning, January 21 (Lin Jieqi) "Come and eat a bowl of glutinous rice balls to warm your body, and you can also get scarves and bread for free." In the past few days, Sinopec Guangxi Petroleum Wuzhou has even come to the Spring Festival Transport Service Station to rest There are very few motorbikes returning home, but volunteer Li Jinlan still warmly greets every returning person who passes by and provides considerate service.

Dulian Gas Station in Wuzhou is the first gas station on the Guangdong East Line returning to Guangxi. Since 2004, it has provided care and services for the "motorcycle army" returning home every year during the Spring Festival travel season.

Li Jinlan also won honors such as the "National May 1st Labor Medal" and "National Model Worker" for her outstanding work.

"The villagers were shivering from the cold wind all the way on the motorcycle. When I passed the hot water, I saw their faces and hands were red from the cold, and they were shaking so badly. I felt very sad." Li Jinlan said, as long as I can help the villagers , Let them get home safely and warmly, no matter how hard it is, it is worth it.

On January 16, Zhang Shuyong and Xue Huanfang, who rode motorcycles back to their hometown Guiping City, Guangxi from Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City, stopped at the post station to rest as in previous years.

Li Jinlan thoughtfully presented Xue Huanfang with a red scarf and a bag of Spring Festival gift bags.

Careful Li Jinlan discovered that Zhang Shuyong and his wife still had a gift bag presented by the post station in 2021 hanging on their motorcycles.

Zhang Shuyong said: "We have driven motorcycles back home for the eighth consecutive year, and we rest at the post station every year. The services provided here make us feel very warm."

Li Jinlan also recalled that on New Year's Eve in 2022, a couple came to the inn and had to stay overnight because the pregnant wife was unwell.

"We prepared a New Year's Eve dinner for the couple, and they bluntly said that they didn't expect to have a warm New Year at the gas station."

In order to allow returnees to get a better rest, Li Jinlan introduced that the station not only prepares food such as ginger tea, functional drinks, and bread, but also provides warm items such as gloves and scarves, and also provides free accommodation services for passing drivers, caring for service targets Expand to outdoor workers such as truck drivers and sanitation workers.

"In the beginning, we only prepared simple food such as hot water and bread. As the number of 'motorcycle troops' increased, the post station also increased its service items, such as simple maintenance, caring mother and baby room, warm rest room, psychological counseling room, etc. More and more thoughtful." Li Jinlan said.

Huang Xuan, who lives in Zhaoping County, Hezhou City, is the first time to ride a motorcycle to rest at the station. He said: "I have never rested at the station when I rode a motorcycle home a few times before. This time I feel very comfortable. The service here is very good. Cozy and heartwarming."

With the rapid development of the national economy and the improvement of the transportation infrastructure network, the "motorcycle army" has been decreasing year by year. During the Spring Festival travel season, the "motorcycle army" passing through Wuzhou and returning home has dropped from 250,000 at the peak to more than 10,000 today.

Over the past 20 years, Li Jinlan has witnessed the process of many villagers "changing motorcycles for small cars" through struggle at the post station.

"I am sincerely happy for them, and some fellow villagers came to tell me that they did not expect that there are so few motorcycles and such a good service, which moved them very much."

Will the Spring Festival transport service station disappear in the future?

Li Jinlan said: "Regardless of whether there will be a post station in the future, as long as the folks have needs, we will insist on providing warm services to the folks regardless of whether there are more cars or fewer cars." (End)
