With the four-day Lunar New Year holiday starting on the 21st, including substitute holidays, various events are held throughout the city.

Cultural Heritage Administration's Blue House Opening Promotion Foundation, together with the Korea Foundation for Arts and Culture, will hold a cultural event 'Blue House, Exciting Lunar New Year' in the Blue House for four days from the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday.

First, a talk concert explaining the history and culture of the Blue House will be held for 3 days at 'Chunchugwan', known as the venue for the press conference at the Blue House.

On the 21st (Sat), Korean history lecturer Choi Tae-seong presented 'The History of the Blue House and Gyeongbokgung Palace', on the 22nd (Sun) reporter Ahn Chung-gi presented 'The Blue House and Seoul's Cultural Story', and on the 23rd (Mon) Professor Emeritus Park Sang-jin of Kyungpook National University presented I will give a lecture on the theme of 'The Blue House and the Tree'.

In addition, cultural and artistic performances such as Gilnori, Korean traditional music, lion dance, and Samulnori will be held for 40 minutes from 3:00 p.m.

Located in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, the 'Imjingak Peace Gondola' offers free rides for the elderly and discounts for three generations of families for four days during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Senior citizens over 80 years of age (born in 1944) are eligible for free rides, and if a family of 3 generations, such as grandparents and grandchildren, visits together, the entire family can enjoy the gondola at a 30% discount.

The Imjingak Peace Gondola is about 850m long and operates in a circle from 'South Imjingak' to 'Northern Return US Army Base Camp Greaves'.

Passengers can also visit 'Gallery Greaves', which is open for free after getting off at 'Greaves' at the north boarding point.

'Gallery Greaves' is an exhibition hall made by remodeling a bowling alley in the US military base camp. You can see works using photos and videos, as well as installation works based on the war of division.

During the Lunar New Year holidays, a total of 22 palaces in Seoul, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Changgyeonggung Palace, as well as Jongmyo Shrine and Joseon Royal Tombs, are open to the public free of charge.

However, Changdeokgung Sponsorship is excluded.

Gyeongbokgung Palace will hold a painting 'Sehwa' sharing event on a first-come, first-served basis to 1,000 visitors twice a day at 10:20 a.m. and 2:20 p.m.

'Sehwa' is a painting that contains the meaning of preventing misfortune and wishing good luck to dwell.

In this sharing event, visitors can choose between a 'tiger wearing a Gyeongbokgung gatekeeper's hat' and a 'ssangtodo'.

The story of a rabbit and a byeoljubu, which appears in the pansori 'Sugungga', is displayed on a 9m long screen, and any visitor can receive a postcard depicting a rabbit.
