The exhibition brings together many local projects, including the “From the Arabs” project, which was presented to us by the founder of the project, Aliazi Al Muhairi. She said: “The project can be described as family, and it is inspired by my grandmother’s story with perfumes and her special mixtures. In a contemporary way, as it combined the present with the past.” Aliazi added, “We started with candles because they are among the things that are associated with all customs and traditions around the world.” The candles are manufactured locally in Fujairah, explaining that she wanted, through the project, to present a product that could be presented as a gift with a special Emirati flavor.

She stressed that their participation in the exhibition is important, especially since it is one of the largest exhibitions that brings together small, medium and new projects, while organizing it in the Dubai Design District is an opportunity to see a larger audience.

Jordanian jewelry designer Hanadi Abzakh participated, by presenting her jewelry collection for the fourth time in the event, and talked about her collection by saying: “I entered the world of jewelry through my experience in gold-plating accessories, although my studies are chemical engineering, but I found myself in this field, And I worked to establish my own brand through the websites, and that is why I participate in this exhibition and other exhibitions that allow me to reach the public.”

She pointed out that she designs warm and small jewelry, so that more than one piece can be worn at the same time, stressing that working through websites carries many challenges due to the great competition in the market, and these exhibitions play a major role in presenting the designs correctly to the public.

concepts of sustainability

As for the Portuguese Joan Coutinho, he presented, through the brand “Chuvenere”, which originated from Portugal, the concept of transferring memories from the city to the shoes, so that they cooperate with a local artist in each country, in order to paint on the shoes, but not on the outer skin of the shoes.

He pointed out that their project carries the concepts of sustainability, and the materials they use are environmentally friendly, explaining that he presents these shoes in the Jameel Arts Center as well as in the Dubai International Financial Center.

The Indian Sobha Noor Muhammad worked on launching her brand "Malas" through the exhibition, noting that the initial launch through the websites was at the beginning of the year, and it is the first exhibition to provide sportswear to the public.

She indicated that the collection she presents is for winter, and summer collections will be presented at a later time, noting that they depend on natural materials and sustainability in work and sewing, hoping that the exhibition will be an opportunity for a strong launch.

The event carries many entertainment activities, including dance performances inspired by the streets of New York in the eighties of the last century, in addition to activities for children of different ages in the activity area, including jumping from slopes on sponge pillows, and enjoying the tunes of live music that emanates from the kiosks of the "DJ".

The event also witnesses the organization of exclusive and free performances with the participation of the most important local artists in the region in the “Dubai Beats” concerts, which extend over four nights: on January 19 and 20 and January 26 and 27, with the participation of the Saudi rapper known as “BLVXB”. , Ali Luca, “DJ Capo”, Shamma Hamdan, DJ Aseel, and others.
