On the morning of the 20th, there was an accident where the scaffolding collapsed at the construction site of a building being demolished in the center of Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, and one man was slightly injured.
Police are investigating the details.
Before 11:00 am on the 20th, the fire department was notified that the scaffolding of a building being demolished in Minatomachi, Funabashi City was collapsing.
According to the police, the scaffolding is collapsing along with the panels attached to cover the building.
One man suffered minor injuries in the accident.
So far, there have been no reports of anyone else being involved, and police are investigating the details of the accident.
The site is in the center of Funabashi City, very close to Funabashi City Hall.
Aerial footage taken by an NHK helicopter shows that the demolition site has completely collapsed and what appears to be an external staircase is in an unstable state.
Some can also be seen leaning against the next building.

A large heavy machinery can also be seen on the roof of the building next door.
A 49-year-old man who took a picture from the 6th floor of a nearby building said, ``Demolition work has been underway for several weeks, and recently, using large heavy machinery, full-scale work has been carried out. When I was working in the office of a nearby building, I heard a terrible sound and the earth trembled, and when I went outside, the demolition site was collapsing.The area was completely white with dust.An ambulance arrived immediately. After that, two men who looked like workers walked out on their own and were being listened to by the ambulance crew."
