A rare video from the forests: How does a deer get rid of its horns in one move?!

( Video)

Adventurer Derek Burgoyne spotted a rare and unique shot in the wild, as he succeeded in filming a deer the moment it got rid of its antlers.

Burgoyne, who loves collecting animal horns, was in a remote area in the province of New Brunswick in eastern Canada, monitoring natural life with a drone, when he saw 3 elk with large horns.

And a camera installed in the plane tracked one of the animals, who stopped and then started shaking his body suddenly and forcefully until he dropped his horns, in a rare and exciting moment that the camera captured.

"This was another level," Burgoyne told the Guardian. "It's like a lottery when it comes to wildlife photography. It couldn't get any better than this."

Hoofed animals, common in northern North America, undergo physical changes with the advent of winter, as food becomes scarce and to save energy, older males naturally get rid of heavy horns when temperatures drop, as a new pair of horns grows. in spring.

Animal horns are usually found scattered on the ground in forests when the snow recedes, but the moment they fall is extremely rare.

Burgoyne collects animal horns from the ground, a lucrative hobby in the United States and Canada that can fetch thousands of dollars.

"I enjoy being in the woods," added the adventurer. "It's great exercise, and it's fun tracking the elk during the winter and looking for their folds in the spring. Every one you find feels like the first."
