  • The unions are kicking off a mobilization this Thursday that they hope is "powerful" enough to make the government bend on its flagship pension reform, in particular on the lowering of the legal retirement age from 62 to 64. .

    More than 200 assembly points are planned in France, the authorities expecting 550,000 to 750,000 demonstrators, including 50 to 80,000 in Paris.

  • Schools closed, trains drop by drop: several public services will be disrupted, to such an extent that the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune has called on the French to postpone their trips or telecommute if they can.

  • The movement promises to be very popular in schools, with 70% of teachers on strike in the first degree.
