In an interview with "Parisien" Wednesday January 18, Arthur Sadoun, the husband of Anne-Sophie Lapix, confided in his throat cancer.

Her illness was caused by papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted disease.

“There is nothing to be ashamed of,” assures the spouse of the journalist from France 2, who has overcome his cancer.

Anne-Sophie Lapix's husband is breaking a taboo: that of throat cancer caused by the papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted disease.

In an interview with Le

Parisien

on Wednesday January 18, Arthur Sadoun, chairman of the management board of Publicis, returned to his fight against the disease.

"I let prudish minds take offense"

"There's nothing to be ashamed of. I don't see why I should be ashamed. What's wrong with me? Having had sex between the ages of 20 and 30? If that's it, I'm leaving the prudish minds take offense," he said.

Arthur Sadoun would like employees with cancer to be able to talk about it freely in their workplace, without being embarrassed.

"One in two employees is afraid to talk about it with their employer, it's crazy, isn't it? Some are afraid of seeing their development stopped, others even have surgery during their vacation", he is offended in the columns of the

Parisian.

"When you fight for your life, you should never have to worry about your job," said Anne-Sophie Lapix's husband.

Anne-Sophie Lapix on Arthur Sadoun: "He is an essential support"

Arthur Sadoun and the journalist from France 2 have been living a passionate love story for several years.

"We both have the same priorities. And he is essential support," Anne-Sophie Lapix confided in the columns of

Elle

magazine in July 2017. "He tells me interesting things that I don't think of. It's very precious because our brains don't work the same way! He opens up other perspectives for me, and vice versa. Our discussions focus on our professional choices and our working relationships. He doesn't know misogyny and is very respectful of my autonomy".
