The authorities are worried in several French departments.

Due to a technical problem on the national network, the emergency number call platforms (112/18/15) have been experiencing malfunctions this Tuesday since around 4 p.m.

The two numbers mainly affected are 112 and 18. Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, Sarthe, Nièvre, Landes, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne are among the territories affected.

Given the difficulties, temporary emergency numbers have been issued by the prefectures, like 02 40 64 59 44 in Loire-Atlantique.

Callers are invited to repeat their call.

The cuts would come from a failure of the operator Orange.

“All Orange teams are fully mobilized to restore services as soon as possible.

“, Indicates the telecommunications company on its social networks.

[1/2] Landline and mobile calls to emergency services (15, 18, 112) are severely disrupted throughout France.

We invite people who wish to join the emergency services to repeat their calls.
