• Fashion From Cate Blanchett to Julia Roberts, the best red carpet looks and some surprises

The Film Critics Awards have had their most emotional moment in the collection of the Best Actor award.

The vote of the approximately 600 specialized journalists from the United States and Canada who grant the recognition has awarded it to

Brendan Fraser

for his role in

'The Whale'

('The Whale').

It is a drama directed by Darren Aronofsky in which Fraser gives life to a man who weighs more than 250 kilos and tries to recover the bond broken years before with his daughter.

But it so happens that the actor's career has also gone through difficult stages.

He went through years of ostracism from the Hollywood industry and had to struggle, and overcome a depression.

"I was lost in the middle of the woods, I should have left a trail of breadcrumbs, and it was you who found me,"

he said, referring to Aronofsky.

"And like the best directors, all you did was tell me where to go to get me where I needed to be."

Very excited, Brendan Fraser, has shared his life lesson.

"If you've ever had problems like Charlie, the character I play, if you've had obesity problems, if you've found yourself in dark times, I want you to know that if you have the strength to stand up and walk towards the light, good things will happen to you."

Five awards for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'

The film '

Everything Everywhere All at Once'

won 5 awards and was a resounding winner at the 28th edition of the Critics Choice Awards, awards that each year honor the highlights of the season on the small and big screen.

The film created by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert -colloquially known as 'Los Daniels'- came as the most nominated with 14 nominations and bagged the awards for best film, best director, best original screenplay, best editing or editing and best supporting actor by the interpretation of Ke Huy Quan.

The big disappointments of the night were

'The Fabelmans' -Steven

Spielberg's autobiographical drama directed by himself- and

'The Banshees of Inisherin'

('Almas en Pena de Inisherin', in Spanish) that had dazzled at the Golden Globes and they started as favorites along with 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'.

However, while Spielberg's film had to settle for best young actor for Canadian Gabriel LaBelle, 'The Banshees of Inisherin' wasn't even picked for any of the 9 categories it was up for.

Likewise,

'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery'

, the second installment of the thriller by Rian Johnson, surprisingly won the categories for best comedy film and best cast, which were revealed minutes before it began. the televised broadcast.
