A mobilization that promises to be massive.

The unions identify at least “200 assembly points” in France as part of the day of mobilization against the pension reform on Thursday, said Monday Céline Verzeletti, CGT confederal secretary.

“At the weekend there were 200 assembly points.

There will be others, it's a good figure, “said the union leader.

The Parisian demonstration will move around 2 p.m. from Place de la République to Place de la Nation, behind the representatives of the eight main French unions.

Strike notices have also been filed for the professions which are subject to it, underlined Céline Verzeletti.

Mobilization should be strong in companies whose employees are threatened with losing their special pension scheme (RATP, EDF, GRDF, etc.).

The CGT in favor of renewable strikes

The CGT is in favor of renewable strikes: “It is very important to organize general meetings to decide what to do next,” said Céline Verzeletti.

The CFDT, the CGT, FO, the CFE-CGC, the CFTC, the Unsa, Solidaires and the FSU announced last week this first date of mobilization, which according to them aims to "give (r) the start of a powerful mobilization on long-term pensions”.

An inter-union will take place the same evening at the headquarters of Solidaires in Paris, to decide what to do next.

“If there are a lot of people, it is a dynamic that must be maintained, and a new date is very quickly needed”, underlined Céline Verzeletti, evoking a new mobilization “from the following week”.

A demonstration in Paris is also planned for Saturday 21, at the call of youth organizations mostly affiliated with left-wing parties.
