Five people, suspected of being linked or of having participated on Friday morning in the robbery of an armored van in Germany, were arrested the same evening and placed in police custody, we learned on Saturday from a judicial source. .

They were arrested as part of investigations carried out by the Central Office for the Fight against Organized Crime (OCLCO) under the direction of an investigating judge from the specialized interregional jurisdiction (JIRS) of Paris, for criminal association and organized armed robbery.

According to the French daily Le Parisien and the weekly Le Journal du Dimanche, some suspects are figures of French organized crime.

Friday morning two people were injured in the attack on a cash transport van by heavily armed men in the German town of Saarlouis, on the border with France, said a German police source.

The suspects then fled.

The investigation must determine if the individuals arrested Friday evening in France are the perpetrators of this robbery.
