Egypt: Police find a child inside a bag near a mosque

 The investigation authorities in Sharqia in Egypt decided to refer a woman and her sister to the Criminal Court for having killed a newborn for fear of a scandal.


Major General Mohamed Salah, Director of Eastern Security, had received a notification from the people of Deyerb Negm that the body of a newborn baby had been found inside a bag next to Al-Nasr Mosque, so the police forces immediately moved to the Al-Balagh site, where the body was transferred to Deyerb Negm Central Hospital.

The investigations supervised by Major General Mohamed El-Gamsi, Director of Criminal Investigation, concluded that the perpetrators of the incident were a housewife and her sister from one of the villages in Dakahlia Governorate, and that the daughter of the first, a 14-year-old high school student, had an illegal relationship with her young aunt’s son and became pregnant from him. Expose her.

After giving birth, her mother and aunt took the initiative to put the baby in a leather bag, closed it and placed it next to Al-Nasr Mosque, Deyerb Negm, far from their place of residence.
