After 2:00 pm on the 13th, Mr. Kosuke Kumakura (51), a liquor store salesman in Gobancho, Kamo City, was climbing the mountain with a group of 10 friends to maintain the mountain trail at Mt. Suganadake in Gosen City. I lost my way.



When group members searched for him, he was found halfway up the mountain buried in snow and taken to a hospital in Niigata City, where he was later confirmed dead.



According to the police, Mr. Kumakura and others were climbing the mountain to maintain the mountain trail for the participants of "Kankyu no Mizukumi", which draws the mountain spring water used for sake preparation, so Mr. Kumakura passed noon. It is believed that he started the descent by himself and was later caught in an avalanche.
