On the tune of the classic Gulf music, the full audience at the Dubai Opera Theater enjoyed, the day before yesterday, a magical night with the artist Khaled Abdul Rahman, known as “Makhawi Al-Layl”, as he gave lovers of the beautiful time an unforgettable evening, and entertained the audience with his songs that he performed on the stage. Classically in the first part of his concert, and the date in the last part was with a Gulf singing session that traveled the audience on a journey with originality, rapture, and the melodies of the oud, just as the Saudi star promised his fans in the beginning.

The ceremony, organized by Moments Events, as part of the activities of the Dubai Shopping Festival in its 28th session, was launched by the Saudi artist Abdulaziz Al-Ma’ani, who sang a bunch of his works, including the song “About Conviction”, “Teach Me”, “Tamshi” and other songs that bear It contains a lot of grief, the meanings of love, the pain of separation and its torments.

The audience enjoyed the meaning for about an hour, as he decided to present the last two songs while playing the oud, to increase the dose of grief and mirth in the evening, which carried many quiet rhythms.

And amid warm applause for the audience, who was swaying on his tarab songs, and asked him during the ceremony for the titles of his most famous songs;

Khaled Abdul Rahman, during the ceremony at the Dubai Opera, sang a group of songs that his fans memorized and chanted her words with him, including “Sidqini”, “Afraq” and “Lee When”.

And the artist carried in his voice and through the lyrics of his songs, the lyrics of which he writes, all the meanings of love, to return and complain about the pain of abandonment and separation in other songs.

The floor of the Dubai Opera Theater was carpeted, and a seat designated for the artist was placed, and by playing the lute and singing, he presented a link to a group of songs that the audience had requested since the start of the concert, most notably: “Taqwa Abandonment”, “The Tremor of My Heart”, “I Waited for Him”, and "From Joy", "Tender", and "Tony Drett".

• Amidst warm applause from the audience, who memorizes his songs and repeats their words with him, the Dubai Opera, Khaled Abdul Rahman, ascended the stage.

• At the end of the ceremony, the Saudi star presented a Gulf session on the Oud, as the stage was transformed into a place prepared for a musical session.

Biography.. and the story of a title

The Saudi artist Khaled Abdul Rahman was born in Riyadh in 1962. His journey in the world of art began with writing poetry, as he wrote a group of songs and showed them to artists, but they refused to perform them because he was not famous at that time, so he decided to sing these words, but after years of presenting His works and the success they achieved, his poems are requested to be sung.

As for composing, he taught himself, starting with playing the oud, and produced his first album after borrowing a sum of money and selling his car for that.

He presented his first album in 1988, and it was titled “Sarahhini”.

Khalid Abdul Rahman was awarded the title of “Artist of Humanity” and the Excellence Award in Humanitarian Art by the World Islamic Council for Disability and Rehabilitation in Riyadh.

As for the secret of the title “Makhawi al-Layl”, it goes back to his writing of poetry and singing of his poems. Friends asked him to sing for other poets so that he would not be placed in the category of those who only sing his poems.
