The fact that the actors were fired from the theater was previously reported by the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.

According to unconfirmed reports, Nazarov made a number of statements that were regarded by the publication as "anti-Russian".

The publication also reported that the artistic director of the theater "tried to reason with Nazarov."
