[Explanation] As the Lunar New Year is approaching, many well-known time-honored restaurants in Shanghai have already filled up their New Year's Eve dinner reservations.

But what is different this year is that many citizens canceled their New Year’s Eve dinner reservations in restaurants just after “Yangkang”, and chose to buy semi-finished products and have a reunion dinner at home.

On the afternoon of January 12th, Shanghai Yu Garden was full of tourists, and the Green Corridor located next to the Jiuqu Bridge in Yu Garden also returned to its former "firework atmosphere".

Lu Yaming, general manager of Lvbolang, told reporters that the semi-finished products of the New Year’s Eve dinner in the store were sold out as early as two days ago, and the sales volume was double that of last year.

This year's sales are particularly hot. We sold until the day before yesterday. We made a total of thousands of sets, and all of them were sold out.

[Explanation] Family banquets, hot pots, barbecues... Nowadays, citizens can see a very rich variety of semi-finished New Year's Eve dinners and New Year's gift boxes in time-honored stores.

Nearly half of the 27 New Year’s set menus and more than a hundred New Year’s single-item dishes launched by Xinya Cantonese Restaurant this year have been sold out.

Mr. Wang, a citizen, had just bought a large box of semi-finished products for New Year’s Eve when he met the reporter. He said with a smile that there are now many varieties of semi-finished products and they taste good, "it saves effort to buy them with money."

This year, I will eat at home, "don't cause trouble to others".

I won't go out this year, and I won't go out this year if I bought this (semi-finished product for New Year's Eve dinner).

For now, try to cause as little trouble as possible to others.

[Explanation] Ms. Wang, a citizen, is not planning to have a New Year's Eve dinner outside this year. Today, I came here to buy some "things that I usually can't get at home".

Buy some (semi-finished products), and then buy some vegetables at the vegetable market at home, just fight for it.

Buy some beef in oyster sauce, as well as fish fillets and shrimps, which are things that are usually not available at home.

[Explanation] Cai Mengyun, the catering director of Xinya Food, said that there was indeed a wave of unsubscriptions for the New Year's Eve dinner in the store from the end of December to the beginning of January, but it was "refilled" soon afterwards.

As for the "semi-finished New Year's Eve dinner", the daily offline retail sales are about 250,000 yuan (RMB, the same below), and it is estimated that the "peak period" will reach 300,000 yuan in two days.

Prefabricated products may be sold out about a week before the Chinese New Year.

The estimated daily volume of retail semi-finished products is close to 250,000 (yuan).

Last year, it was at most 170,000 to 180,000 (yuan) a day.

[Explanation] This year, many merchants have also put a lot of effort into the taste of semi-finished products.

Wang Baohe Hotel's "popular" family portrait casserole is stewed with various ingredients such as egg dumplings, roast duck, meatballs, pork belly, pork skin, fresh shrimp, etc., with various flavors, implying reunion and happiness.

According to the relevant person in charge, the sales of semi-finished New Year's Eve dinners in the store have increased significantly compared with last year, and have sold nearly 2 million yuan so far.
