Watch Ruben Östlund live from Hollywood in the clip above and when he runs at Austin Butler, winner of "Best Actor" for "Elvis".

"Triangle of sadness" was nominated in the category Best film (musical or comedy) but unfortunately there was no Swedish award at the Golden Globe gala.

Despite that, Ruben Östlund keeps his spirits up.

- I try, I struggle hard with it, says Ruben Östlund jokingly to SVT.

For Ruben, there has been no predetermined winner.

- It was very difficult to predict many of the categories here.

“Not the best movie”

Instead, the prize went to the Irishman Martin McDonagh's dark comedy "The banshees of Inisherin", which has Colin Farrell in the lead role.

Farrell also took home the statuette for Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) for his performance in the film.

However, Ruben Östlund is not as impressed as the jury.

- I don't think it's the best film, but I'm not objective, says Östlund.

Actress Dolly De Leon, who was nominated for her performance in "Triangle of Sadness" in the Best Supporting Actress category, also did not receive an award.

- It's a fun gala to be part of, for me it would have been the most fun if Dolly De Leon had received an award.

Charging for the Oscars

Now Östlund is looking ahead to the Oscars, which will take place in March.

Do you have any weathering?

-

Yes, you usually watch the BAFTA gala and we have seven nominations on the longlist there and it's usually pretty good when you have that.

But it is difficult to predict.
