Elected officials from Drôme and Ardèche have questioned the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune about the removal of the first TGV of the day between Valence (Drôme) and Paris.

The train which left at 6:35 a.m. allowed its passengers to arrive before 9 a.m. and attend meetings in the capital from the start of the day, explains France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

The authors of the letter addressed to Clément Beaune expressed concern for the attractiveness of their territory, and especially for the business park located near the Valence TGV station.

Business customers complain about having to leave the night before and therefore pay for a hotel night in Paris.

To explain the disappearance of the morning connection, the SNCF put forward technical constraints.

The removal of the slot allowing the 6:35 a.m. train to run has indeed forced the railway company to choose between a passage in Valence at 6:05 a.m. and 7:05 a.m.

This last time was preferred because the TGV arrives from Montpellier (Hérault), from where it should have left at 4:50 am with the first solution.
