The TV profile, who was previously the presenter of Lyxfällan in TV3, turned 50 years old.
He is survived by his wife Sara Grimlund and four children.
According to Expressen and Aftonbladet, Patrick Grimlund is said to have died in the traffic accident that occurred in Strängnäs on Sunday.
In the accident, a truck collided with a car, and the two people traveling in the truck were taken to hospital by ambulance.
A man in his 50s who was traveling in the passenger car died, and according to the evening newspapers' information, this must therefore be Patrick Grimlund.
The cause of the accident is still unclear and the police have opened a preliminary investigation into causing the death of another person, but have no suspects.
