Some sections of the JR Yamanote Line were suspended for two days due to construction work, but on the 9th it will operate as usual from the first train.

At Shibuya Station, where the construction was completed, the platform that integrated the outer and inner tracks was open to the press.

JR East has been working on improving Shibuya Station for eight years as part of the Shibuya redevelopment project, and from the evening of the 6th of this month, a total of 4,000 workers will be working on the outer and inner platforms of the Yamanote Line. I did the construction to make it a book.

Due to this, the Yamanote Line was suspended for two days in some sections of the outer loop, but the construction was completed on schedule in the early hours of the 9th, and the first train on the morning of the 9th will operate on a regular schedule.

On the 9th, the new platform at Shibuya Station, which was opened to the press on the 9th, completed construction, removed the conventional outer platform, widened the inner platform to a maximum of 16 meters, and integrated it with the outer platform. It was done.

A mother in her 40s who visited Shibuya with her junior high school daughter on the Yamanote line said, "I think it's improved because it's easier to transfer due to the construction work this time." I've been using Shibuya Station since I was a student, and it's exciting to see how the city is constantly changing."

JR East plans to carry out the next construction at Shibuya Station in the next fiscal year, and the entire Shibuya Station is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
