This year's Spring Festival is the first one since the Class B and B Regulations. How can ordinary people celebrate the New Year in a healthy way? What aspects need attention?

On January 8, Chang Zhaorui, a researcher at the Communication and Defense Department of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, introduced at a press conference:

The first is to continue to do a good job in personal protection.

Adhere to hygienic habits such as frequent hand washing, wearing masks, frequent ventilation, serving chopsticks, maintaining social distance, coughing etiquette, cleaning and disinfection, and personal protection should be done well even after the infection recovers.

The second is to maintain a healthy lifestyle such as regular work and rest, reasonable diet, moderate exercise, and a good attitude to improve self-resistance.

The third is to try not to hold or participate in some large-scale family gatherings, reduce the number of family members and friends gathering for dinner, shorten the time for dinner, and send blessings through video calls, especially to avoid passing the risk of infection to the elderly at home.

The fourth is for those who meet the vaccination requirements to complete the full vaccination and boost immunity as soon as possible to protect the health of themselves and their families.

The fifth is to strengthen health monitoring and pay close attention to the health status of yourself and your family members. If you have symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, and sore throat, or if you test positive, try to stay in a well-ventilated and relatively independent room. Minimize contact with people living with you, and pay close attention to the progress of the disease.

If the condition worsens, seek medical attention in time.
