As high-concentration ultrafine dust covered the country, emergency reduction measures were issued in most areas across the country today (7th).

The atmospheric situation is expected to worsen as fine dust and yellow dust are added.

The fine dust emergency reduction measures issued yesterday in Busan and Ulsan have been expanded to all regions nationwide except for Yeongdong, Gangwon this morning.

This is because fine dust from China and fine dust from Korea are accumulating together as the atmospheric flow is stagnant due to the influence of high pressure.

The concentration of fine dust in most areas of the country, including the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Honam, and Yeongnam, is at a 'very bad' level.

As of 11:00 am, the level of ultrafine dust is 89 micrograms in Seoul and 106 micrograms in Chungbuk.

Emergency reduction measures have been issued, and construction sites and waste disposal sites must take measures to prevent dust from blowing, such as adjusting working hours and covering dust-proof covers.

In particular, from today, as yellow dust from the Gobi Desert in China arrives on the Korean Peninsula, air quality is expected to deteriorate further.

High concentrations of fine dust are expected to continue until the middle of next week.
