[Explanation] Xu Tao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of the Bio-Island Laboratory, said in his speech that the Bio-Island Laboratory has achieved fruitful results in scientific research construction, epidemic prevention and promotion of national laboratory construction in the past five years.
The laboratory will take the new experimental building as a new starting point, adhere to the development concept of integrating superior resources, adhere to the service spirit of innovation for the people, promote the transformation of laboratory results, and inject new development vitality into the development of the biomedical industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
[Explanation] It is understood that the new R&D building of the Bio-Island Laboratory covers an area of about 17,000 square meters. It mainly deploys industrialization teams, and builds joint research centers with universities and leading companies, and incubates technology-based enterprises. It will become the Bio-Island Laboratory. A permanent "base" for achievement transformation and industrial incubation.
