The "The Fridge" concert series returns to Dubai for its 39th session, with a program full of shows that satisfy all tastes. The first concerts of 2023 are expected to take place at "The Fridge" theater on "Alserkal Avenue" in Al Quoz, Dubai, every Tuesday, starting from January 17 until Next February 7th.
This season presents several performances by a group of talented artists, including: “Freak”, “Art Voices”, “Idrisi” and “Parekh and Singh”.
The program of this cycle, which distributes four concerts between January and February, is keen to present the co-star lineup for an unparalleled series of concerts and to bring the most important original works and first-of-its-kind collaborations to the UAE.
The performances of the “The Freej” series of concerts will start on January 17th with the Somali trap artist “Frick”, the pioneer of trap music in the Arab world, who has previously opened shows for famous artists, including (Stormzy) and (Future).
The Armenian band Art Voices will take to the stage on January 24 in an evening that combines the melodies of jazz and Armenian music.
The theater will also revive during the next week, on January 31, the performance of the Jordanian singer "Idrisi", who will hold a distinguished evening of Arab pop music.
Finally, the Indian pop duo Parekh & Singh will conclude the session on the 7th of February with enchanting melodies and lively rhythms.
This season will also be enriched by unmissable support performances by teams: (NM1), (Sanaz Sotoudeh), (Sara Felula) and (Seaside Feels).
Doors open to the public from 7:30 pm for all four performances.
It is expected that the live performances will start from eight in the evening until 9:45 in the evening.
The roots of the "The Freej" concert series dates back to 2008, and it is the most famous platform for original music in the UAE.
It has rapidly evolved from a simple, effects-free stage setup to become a comprehensive platform for live performances with an audiovisual system that allows artists to turn their aspirational visions into reality.
This concert series undertakes the mission of supporting regional youth, by providing a platform for up-and-coming musicians from across the UAE and beyond, especially those whose impact is changing the Arab music scene.
The Fridge, by giving the participating teams full control over their designs, decorations, projections and light shows, is characterized by a white board to which each performance adds something completely new and unique.
