Many places will be warm enough to break records

According to a report from China Weather Network on the 4th, this week, the temperature rise in most parts of my country will continue, and the cumulative increase in the highest temperature will reach 6-10°C, and the increase in some areas will exceed 10°C.

The line with the highest temperature of 10°C gradually moved north to the southern part of North China, and the area with the highest temperature above 20°C expanded northward to parts of Hubei and Anhui.

The eastern part of Northwest China, the Yellow River and the south of the Yangtze River will be as warm as March or even early April. Some areas in Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Gansu, Henan, Hubei and other places may break the highest temperature record for the same period around the 8th.

In cities, for example, the temperature in Hefei will reach 18°C on the 8th, and the temperature in Wuhan will reach 21°C on the 8th. The minor cold is as warm as the vernal equinox. Among them, Wuhan may also break the local record for the warmest in early January.

From the mid-term forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, there will be weak cold air affecting our country on the 5th to 7th. At that time, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the areas north of it will have a 4-8°C drop in temperature, and the local temperature in the central and southern parts of the Northeast region will drop by more than 10°C. , but it is still difficult to completely reverse the warmer pattern in the first ten days.

There are still heavy snowstorms in northern Xinjiang

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that due to the influence of the short-wave trough moving eastward, there will be a significant snowfall process in northern Xinjiang from the night of the 4th to the 5th.

Among them, some areas in Yili River Valley, Tacheng, Altay and other places have heavy snowfall, and most areas in northern Xinjiang have 5-6 winds. Be alert to the phenomenon of wind blowing snow.

On the 6th, there were light to moderate snow or sleet in parts of northern Xinjiang, southern Jilin, central and eastern Liaoning, and southern Sichuan Plateau. Among them, parts of northern Xinjiang and eastern Liaoning had heavy snow ( 10-14mm).

The public should pay attention to traffic safety when traveling, and prevent the adverse effects of snowfall on agriculture, animal husbandry, transportation and other aspects.

In addition, snowflakes may also appear in central and southern Qinghai, southern Gansu, northern Sichuan plateau, and eastern Tibet.

However, the intensity is not strong, and it is generally light rain and snow.

Then, the precipitation tends to end.

You still need to pay attention to keep warm during the minor cold solar term

This year, January 5 will enter the Xiaohan solar term.

As the saying goes, "Small cold and severe cold, freeze into a ball", this is also supported by meteorological data.

According to the People's Daily, from the average situation from 1961 to 2022, the national average temperature is minus 5.3°C during the minor cold period and minus 5.2°C during the severe cold period.

In recent years, under the background of climate warming, the winter temperature in my country has a clear upward trend, and the temperature during the minor cold and severe cold also has significant changes.

From 1961 to 1990, the average temperature of the Minor Cold was minus 5.8°C, which was 0.3°C lower than the average temperature of the Great Cold. Therefore, there used to be sayings such as "cold in March" and "Minor Cold is better than the Great Cold".

From 1991 to 2020, the average temperature of Minor Cold was minus 4.8°C, which was 1.0°C higher than that of the previous 30 years. , becomes colder and colder.

Meteorological experts said that no matter when the minor cold and the major cold are colder, the temperature will still feel "frozen" to the human body.

Everyone still has to do a good job of preventing cold and keeping warm to ensure a healthy winter.
