In an interview for the "JDD", Brigitte Bardot, 88, reacted to the announcement of the broadcast of the biopic "Bardot", in 2023, on France 2. The icon of the sixties claims to have never been contacted by the team of this mini-series which will retrace his incredible journey, from his first casting at the age of 15, in 1949, until the birth of his son, in 1960.

Brigitte Bardot is certainly the only person not thrilled with her own biopic… In 2023, France 3 will broadcast

Bardot,

a new series in six episodes tracing the incredible destiny of the sixties icon.

Viewers will thus be able to discover or rediscover Bardot's career, from his very first casting at the age of 15, in 1949, to the release of the film

And God Created Woman,

in 1956, through his loves, and the birth of his son Nicolas-Jacques Charrier, in 1960.

"I don't even know about that stuff!"

But, did the star participate in the development of this fiction?

Asked about this by our colleagues from the

 JDD,

Brigitte Bardot replied in a very cash way… “I am not even aware of this thing!”, She declared.

"But I don't care: the only thing that matters is my real life, with me in it, and not bullshit biopics!".

One thing is therefore certain: Brigitte Bardot will not watch her biopic and will not advertise it…

Julia de Nunez as Brigitte Bardot

Co-written and directed by Danièle Thompson and her son Christopher, the

Bardot

biopic was shot between Paris and Saint-Tropez.

It is the sublime Julia de Nunez who embodies the role of BB.

Her lover Roger Vadim is played by Victor Belmondo, Jean-Paul's grandson.

She is the first French star whose image crosses all borders and influences all fashions.

The series promises to tell "the extraordinary destiny of this young woman, a fairy tale which sometimes turns into a nightmare" and also to paint "the portrait of an era: post-war France which goes from black and white to the color, which gorges itself with carelessness, pleasure and sun in this new paradise that is Saint-Tropez and of which Bardot becomes the goddess”, can we read in the official synopsis of the biopic.

Brigitte Bardot puts all her energy into the fight for the animal cause

We therefore understand better why the release of this biopic enrages the main interested party, who has long since drawn a line under the world of cinema, its rhinestones and its glitter.

Brigitte Bardot indeed lives in a hidden residence in Saint-Tropez, where she spends her days fighting for the animal cause.

"I've had enough of the spotlight, so it makes me happy to settle in a completely natural light, which suits me well and makes me happy", she explains to the

JDD.

At 88, the star joined for the very first time the ranking of the favorite personalities of the French, published every year by the newspaper.

She occupies the 49th place, just ahead of Michel Cymes.
