China News Service, Kunming, January 1 (Huang Zaiyun and Liang Ying) Since January 1, 9 passenger stations including Heijing, Yunnan have officially implemented electronic tickets.

So far, the 72 passenger stations under the management of China Railway Kunming Bureau Group have achieved full coverage of electronic tickets, which will greatly facilitate travel for passengers.

  The scope of the implementation of e-tickets this time is mainly distributed in the stations and boarding stations that public welfare "slow trains" such as Chengdu-Kunming Railway and Shuihong Railway pass through.

E-tickets are issued with one card. Passengers who order tickets through railway 12306 official website, 12306 mobile APP and other channels can conveniently enter, check in, board and exit the station with their own ID cards without having to pick up the ticket.

  It is understood that Yunnan Railway launched a trial of electronic passenger tickets in July 2019, and it has been more than three years since then.

Up to now, China Railway Kunming Bureau Group has sold a total of 175 million e-tickets. Calculated at 0.005 kg per paper train ticket, it is equivalent to saving 875 tons of paper.
