Wilmer Valderrama may have made his mark in Hollywood, but he doesn't forget where he comes from.
Some time ago, the star of
That'70s Show
wanted to surprise Tadao, his best friend for 20 years, by having his garage renovated to transform it into a magnificent living room where he can welcome his loved ones.
A renovation for which he called on the twins Drew and Jonathan Scott, aka the Property Brothers, on their
Celebrity IOU
show .
"I relied on him a lot over the ups and downs of my career," says the actor in this episode, not hesitating to call this friend, whom he also employed as a security guard, a "big brother". body in the past.
Total surprise
Of course, Wilmer Valderrama had to get his hands dirty and he took pleasure in blowing up old wooden partitions at the very start of the work.
"There's something very satisfying about just breaking things," he concedes in one excerpt.
And as is the good old tradition of American renovation shows, his friend Tadao acted as if he was completely unaware that people were grinding everything at his house, discovering in surprise and emotion his garage which is no longer really one.

airs on HGTV before arriving on Discovery +, currently unavailable to French audiences.
