The New Year's holiday rush, which has no movement restrictions due to the new coronavirus, has begun, and JR Kofu Station is crowded with families who have returned to the prefecture.

According to JR East, the 30th seems to be the peak of the homecoming rush at JR Kofu Station, and 19 out of 38 limited express trains from Tokyo are full or almost full, mainly in the morning. It means that it is returning to the level before the spread of infection.



In the morning, JR Kofu Station was crowded with people welcoming returning guests and families.



A woman who returned from Tokyo with her family said, "I've been to Yamanashi for the first time in several months. There are many people, so I don't go out much and I'm thinking of staying at home."



A woman who welcomed her two grandchildren who are working adults and students from Tokyo said, "I met my grandchildren who are working adults for the first time in three or four years. She is very happy."



A second-grade boy who returned from Tokyo with his family said, "I'm looking forward to seeing my grandpa. We'll pound rice cakes together and go to New Year's shrine visits."



The U-turn rush is expected to peak on the 3rd of next month.
