Romanian police arrest Andrew Tate with a pizza box

Today, the Romanian authorities arrested the controversial journalist, "Andrew Tate," on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal group, according to Reuters.

According to several reports, the pizza box helped cops locate and narrow down Tate's location.

On Wednesday, Andrew Tate was involved in a high-profile altercation on Twitter with climate activist Greta Thunberg, an incident that earned him a lot of derision from netizens.

During the electronic scuffle, he posted a video of himself, dressed in a Versace robe, smoking a cigar, while someone off camera handed him two boxes of Jerry's Pizza, a famous Romanian chain.

9News reported that his arrest was only a day after the video was published, possibly because of pizza boxes.

The report stated that the boxes may have helped the Romanian police reach his location.

The authorities have reportedly used the video as "evidence of his presence in the country," a report in The Independent newspaper said.

The former kickboxer gained notoriety online for his misogynistic remarks and hate speech, and was banned from a number of social media platforms.

It was brought back to Twitter when Elon Musk took over.

Whether or not it was the pizza box that led to his arrest, it looks like Greta Thunberg finally won the fight after all.

Mocking his arrest, she wrote on Twitter, "This is what happens when you don't recycle your pizza boxes."
