  [Explanation] Recently, the number of new coronavirus infections in Beijing has increased rapidly, especially the number of elderly patients with underlying diseases has increased significantly.

The 120 emergency call known as the "lifeline" has been running at a high level for days.

  These days the average daily workload (cars out) is above 1,000. It should be said that it is the only urban area in Beijing with more than 1,000. Our service can basically clear the daily workload, and the people in the jurisdiction can also Get a basic pre-hospital service.

  [Explanation] According to Chen Kun, secretary and director of the Emergency Medical Rescue Center in Chaoyang District, Beijing, about one-third of the patients seeking help recently are critically ill patients, most of whom are elderly people with underlying diseases and limited mobility. Access to care can only be addressed through the use of pre-hospital resources.

  [Explanation] Due to the recent increase in the number of orders dispatched in the city, the Beijing Emergency Center will transfer the 120 emergency missions received to Chaoyang District for dispatch.

Chen Kun said that the center has trained relevant staff, upgraded and debugged the system, expanded capacity and dispatched seats, coordinated the whole region to increase the ambulance team, and made every effort to ensure that the public can seek medical treatment in a timely manner.

  There are only 624 medical staff, and then we have 320 drivers and stretcher workers.
