China News Agency, Nanjing, December 28 (Reporter Shen Ran) The Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders announced on the 28th that Yuan Guilong, a survivor of the Nanjing Massacre, died in the early morning of the same day at the age of 88.

At present, there are only 51 survivors registered by Nanjing Aid for the Victims of Japanese Invasion in China.

Due to advanced age, recently, Nanjing Massacre survivors Wang Jin, Zhang Shixiang and Yuan Guilong passed away successively.

Just because he didn't kowtow to the invaders, Wang Jin's father was stabbed seven times and killed by the Japanese army.

The house at home was also burned down by the Japanese army.

Wang Jin and his mother managed to escape by hiding in the empty shell of the house.

After the fall of Nanjing, Zhang Shixiang and his family fled to refugee areas.

Because there are too many refugees, shoulder to shoulder, it is almost impossible to settle down.

In the cold winter, the family can only sleep on the cold floor at night.

During the Nanjing Massacre, Yuan Guilong's father was killed by the Japanese army as a living person, and his uncle was also killed by the Japanese army.

More than a dozen of the tile-roofed and thatched huts in the family were burned down.

Due to excessive grief, the grandparents soon fell ill in bed and passed away one after another.

Yuan Guilong became a teacher in order to let more younger generations remember this tragic history.

He always said during his lifetime: "I want to educate our students and future generations not to forget the national humiliation, and remember this history of suffering. Encourage them to work hard for the rise of China, and take practical actions to prevent the recurrence of historical tragedies." (End)
