This situation worries even the Minister of Health.

One toilet for 20 patients

Nurses Isaline and Marine find stretchers in the hallways every day.

“Patients stay more than 24 hours in the emergency room on a stretcher with cold food, certain discomfort and little privacy. Every day is that,” laments one of them.

"There, there are 15 people waiting for a bed but we went up to 25 people. Every day, in the morning, it's stretchers, screens that separate people and a toilet for 20", notes a nurse .

In the emergency radiology department, Catherine regrets the glaring lack of personnel.

"We are looking for full time. We cannot recruit or even retain our staff. Emergencies, nurses, doctors, it's the same... Because public service, so 24 hours a day, nights, weekends. It's a way of making people wait, which is not so much related to what you want to do as a caregiver", she underlines.
