An online kitty was recently created by the association Les Amis de l'Eglise et du Patrimoine de Saint-Trinit (Vaucluse).

The objective of this crowdfunding campaign is to raise funds to renovate the Romanesque church of the village, dating from the 12th century and listed since 1915. Due to the drought, the walls are cracking.

"It's starting to be dangerous," explained the president of the association, quoted by France Bleu Vaucluse.

Because it is in danger of collapsing, the building is no longer accessible to the public.

To carry out the renovations, the association will compile a file for the Heritage Foundation.

To do this, it must carry out a preliminary study evaluating the operations to be carried out.

These analyses, mandatory for any listed monument, cost nearly 22,500 euros.

It is this sum that those responsible for the kitty seek to raise.

Time is running out as the cracks that appeared have widened while new ones have appeared on the Church of the Holy Trinity.

This Wednesday afternoon, the campaign had collected a total of 880 euros paid by nine donors.
