In Turkey before April 27, 2007, during the periods when there was a frequent mention of the threat of a coup against the Justice and Development Party, there were those who would come out and say: "Are coups still taking place at this time!"

Most likely it was meant by "at this time";

The distance Turkey traveled in the process of democratization in that period, as well as the distance it traveled in the process of integration with Europe on the one hand, and the compatibility of Turkey's economy and society with the global economy in that period on the other hand.

This rhetoric was also used effectively in countering the government's claim that the judicial process of December 25 and the "Gezi" operations launched by the FETO were also coup attempts;

Whereas, these attempts were considered to be coup attempts as a conspiracy theory that was prepared by the government to evade legal procedures and to evade its responsibility.

Because - according to them - a coup would not have taken place during that period, because whoever dares to carry out a coup in Turkey must also be willing to confront the whole world, which means that what was protecting the Turkish people from the coup was not the people themselves;

It was Europe and the world above all else, according to these people.

But the question is: Was that a good guarantee?

Was that enough to deter those who would dare to stage a coup?!

It can be said that the world around us has certainly changed and coups have become difficult, and our country was not at that moment when putschists tried to carry out a coup as it was in the past when anyone could take over a radio station or wake up early at night to perform by coup.

But did the putschists at that moment know that the world had really changed and that the peoples were no longer the same as they were in the past?

Let us recall together that famous joke which can always be recalled in such a situation;

A crazy person was afraid of chickens because he thought he was millet (a type of grain similar to wheat). After he got the full treatment and was discharged from the hospital, he came back to her again, saying: “I am cured, but does the chicken know that I am not grain?”

Good;

A coup will not take place in such an era, but do putschists know that?

If the phrase "at this time" makes a coup impossible, there is another guarantee: the relations between Turkey and the European Union.

For the countries of the European Union, the coup was totally unacceptable.

However, the European Union did not say that the Gezi events or the attempts of December 17-25, 2013, were a coup, and even when all conditions were met to call the events of July 15, 2016 a coup, the European Union did not say a word in that regard.

Actually;

The European Union countries have caused another disappointment by not describing the military interventions that stopped the Arab revolutions as a coup as well.

At a time when we said with certainty that it is impossible for a coup to take place;

A coup was already happening, so it seems that there are no guarantees about coups in this world.

What was thought impossible had already happened in a country like Germany;

Which is located in the heart of Europe, which was in itself a guarantee against the coup.

A coup attempt has already taken place, and this attempt has gone a considerable distance.

An far-right organization called the Citizens of the Reich with 21,000 members staged an elaborate coup attempt with the goal of re-establishing the 19th century German empire, and even considered appointing Prince Heinrich the 13th once they came to power.

Everything necessary for the coup to take place was also planned, including the kidnapping of the president and ministers, the establishment of a shadow government, and the preparation of the king who would take power.

It was good that the German intelligence detained the active members of the organization, by raiding 137 different points in order to uncover the incident and prevent the coup attempt.

Otherwise, we would not have imagined, if the coup attempt had succeeded, what would have happened in Germany and all of Europe.

There is growing dissatisfaction in most European countries about the current course of Europe today, and this dissatisfaction leads to the accumulation of more hatred, which in turn leads to the exhaustion of what Europe has worked to collect and achieve in terms of foundations such as democracy, human rights, unification of standards, and other things that it has reached in the field of science and institutionalism. .

The possibilities and positive aspects of the welfare state may not raise any concerns about what they might lose by having those who participate in or endorse the coup attempt.

naturally;

There are setbacks for us, too.

This picture indicates that history will never end at the level of reason.

At the highest point of the mind, a person becomes obsessed with a whim and everything goes back to the beginning.
