Late at night on the 27th, four men who were patrolling at night with members of the neighborhood association were hit by a car on a city road in Sakai City, Osaka, and two of them died.



Police are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run, as the car drove away.

After 11:50 pm on the 27th, four men who were patrolling at night with members of the neighborhood association were hit by a car coming from behind on a city road in Kosaka, Naka Ward, Sakai City.



Four people were taken to the hospital, but two of them, believed to be in their 40s, died and the other two suffered minor injuries.



The car that hit the four people ran away from the scene as it was, and the police are investigating the whereabouts of the car, such as analyzing security cameras as a hit-and-run incident.



The site is a straight road with no sidewalks, one lane on each side, about 1.3 kilometers southwest of Fukai Station on the Semboku Rapid Railway.
