The first meeting of a committee to consider measures to prevent recurrence was held in response to the problem that a captain of the Maritime Self-Defense Force leaked information containing "designated secrets" that require advanced information security to his former employees.

We plan to put together concrete measures by March next year.

The first meeting held at the Ministry of Defense on the 27th was attended by executives such as the vice minister and the chief of the Joint Staff of the Self-Defense Forces.

State Minister Ino, who serves as chairman of the committee, said, "Drastic strengthening of defense capabilities cannot be achieved without thorough information security. We must take responsibility for restoring the public's trust." said.

In response to this issue, Minister of Defense Hamada investigated all organizations on the 26th to see if there were any other cases where confidential information was leaked in response to a request from an alumnus. I issued instructions to order and to inform the members not to ask for information easily.

Based on the minister's instructions, the committee will consider how to respond when meeting with alumni, and will formulate concrete measures by March next year.
