The 24th is Christmas Eve.

At a nursery school in downtown Fukui City, gifts addressed to children were delivered a little earlier than the arrival of Santa Claus.

Approximately 120 toys such as radio-controlled toys and board games were delivered to Puri Baby, a childcare center in Junka, Fukui City.

The volunteer group "Fukui Toy Hospital" adjusted the shapes and made new parts of the toys that were donated by families as their children grew up, and presented them to the nursery and the children.

The daycare center is located in a corner of Katamachi, the downtown area of Fukui City, and takes care of children until 2:00 a.m. for single-parent households who are unable to take care of their children due to work that continues until late at night.

From the evening, parents and children visited one after another, and there was also a boy who found a Christmas present that he liked and held it in his arms.

Yuki Kakinoki, who runs a nursery school, said that the need for support for single-parent households is increasing due to the prolonged corona crisis, saying, "I want you to understand that single-parent households are very difficult as prices are rising. It's not like we're eating cake at home and getting toys.
