Acting Director of the Heritage Sites Department at Dubai Culture, Maryam Dhaen Al Tamimi, told Emirates Today about the second edition of the event and what it brings again. Al-Tamimi added: “The festival includes many activities, including a corner of traditional food, traditional games for children, educational workshops, poetry sessions, and waterfalls, as well as food booths that witness the participation of seven emerging projects launched from Hatta. Regarding the program for the nights of the festival, Al-Tamimi indicated that the program includes many activities that are held on the main stage in the center of the village, including competitions, ballets, poetry and plays, noting that the goal is to attract families from the region and from the various emirates of the country, explaining that the first day of the event It witnessed the visit of 1,100 visitors, which confirms that the festival's message succeeded in reaching people in the right way.

Al-Tamimi saw that some features of the Emirati heritage, whether customs or crafts, are beginning to disappear, considering that the role played by "Dubai Culture" sheds light on the heritage and revives it again.

And she added, speaking about a plan to preserve tangible and intangible heritage, and she said: “We are working to preserve buildings as well as customs and traditions, and there are many projects that are being implemented in order to protect heritage, including, for example, the Shindagha Museum, which includes a group of houses, and it is considered the largest museum in the Middle East.” It includes a group of various museums that highlight various handicrafts and folklore, and the total number of houses reaches approximately 64 houses.
