At 10:47 on December 22, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 occurred in Maduo County, Guoluo Prefecture, Qinghai (35.56 degrees north latitude, 99.14 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 9 kilometers.
According to reports, as of now, there have been no casualties or house collapses, but there are 46 households (139 people) 40 kilometers away from the epicenter, with local cracks in the walls of houses and barns.
The production and living order of the local people is normal.
After the earthquake, Suonan Quedan, deputy secretary of the Maduo County Party Committee and county magistrate, led the heads of relevant departments to Weirigeng Village, Huashixia Town, Maduo County, and other places to check the disaster situation on the spot and express condolences to the affected people.
